If you have accounts on social media platforms, you must be aware of reels, shorts, and crisp trending videos. Every now and then, new trending videos and memes get viral, and the media never stays behind in trolling. Instagram is a rapidly developed social media platform. With the advent of the year 2020, Instagram has changed a lot. The new updates and features made Instagram a good entertainment platform for everyone.

Instagram introduced reels; today, nearly everyone in the entire world has gotten addicted to it. Either you create reels on Instagram or continue scrolling down the reels. This reel includes very engaging types of content. And its algorithm is such that if you like any particular type of content, it will keep on showing you such type of content.

But Instagram does not allow you to download any reel you like. If you like any reel or want to share it with your family and friends on another social platform, you don’t need to worry. We are here with the tricks that will help you to download your favorite Instagram reels. So, let’s get started.

Steps To Download While Creating New Reel

If you are creating your own reels and want to share them on other social media accounts too, you need to download that reel first. But Instagram does not allow you to do so. So, now what? Now, you must go through the given below steps that will help you to download your reels while creating them.

Step 1: Open your Instagram account, and go to the reels section on the app
Step 2: A camera icon will appear on the right top of the page
Step 3: Now, create your reel, and then preview the video
Step 4: You will find a downward arrow on the top of the page in a series of other icons
Step 5: Press on that icon, and you will see your reel will get downloaded in your camera roll.

Sometimes, it happens that the audio cannot get saved, so in that case, you can add audio from the third-party apps, which are easily available on app stores.

How To Download Reels On Android

While scrolling down the reels, you must have seen the videos that are relatable to you. In such cases, you may think of sharing those reels with your friends who are not on Instagram. Or, sometimes, you may think of downloading your favorite reels for later uses. So, it’s time to put your thoughts into action and share your favorite trendy reels with your friends and families. To do so, follow the below-given steps:

Go to Playstore, and search for Instagram video downloaders
You will get a vast list of Instagram video downloaders. Choose the most trusted and rated application, and then install it.
Now, after its installation, log in to your Instagram account in the app
After logging in, the downloader is all set to download.
Now, open the Instagram app, and go to the reel that you want to download
Click on the three dots, and copy the link to the video
Now, again open the video downloader app, and paste the link into the search bar
Give access to your phone gallery to the app
And then, your reel will automatically get downloaded into your phone gallery.
Other than copying the link of your favorite reel, you can also directly share the reel to the Instagram video downloader app and see how it automatically fetches the data and downloads the reel for you.

How To Download Reels On iOS Phones

If you are an iOS user, you will also need the help of third-party apps to download your favorite Instagram reels. Follow these steps to download them easily.

Go to the App Store on your phone, and search for the InSaver or Instore apps, as these apps are best for downloading reels on iOS devices.
Install the app, and once it gets installed, log in to your Instagram account into it.
Now, copy the URL of your favorite reel from Instagram, and paste it into the search bar of the downloader app.
Click on the Watch its option, and then save the video

Use Screen Recorder

You can save your favorite Instagram reel with the help of screen recording too. You can either use your own phone’s screen recording feature or can easily download the screen recorder app from the app stores on your phone. Once you are done with this step, you simply need to go to the reel which you want to save and turn on the screen recorder. Once the reel ends, stop the recorder, it will automatically save the video into your camera roll.

Hence, these are some tricks that will surely help you to download your favorite Instagram reels. Now that you have understood the steps and tricks. Enjoy downloading and then sharing the trendy and funny reels with your family and friends anytime.

E2E encryption for Instagram chats and Facebook Messenger to be provided

Tejas Maheta — Mon, 13 Jul 2026 06:14:30 +0000

Despite WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram being controlled by one firm, only Whatsapp offers E2E encryption. It seems that Facebook is taking its time to provide encryption for Facebook as well as Instagram. In its recent statement, Facebook claimed that E2E encryption will only be provided in 2026. Thus, users will have to wait to secure their chats and messages.

To the users, it seems as if Facebook is delaying the procedure as the encryption was claimed to be provided in 2019 as well. However, the apps are devoid of E2E encryption even now in 2021.

Along with the possible year of upgrade, Facebook has assured its users that they are working on the long-term security of their consumers. It further claimed that they wish to provide encryption in all of their messaging platforms. Thus, users can trust the firm and remain relieved.

Facebook also reflected upon the security and safety upgrades and features provided by the firm. Since E2E encryption is a long procedure, consumers of Instagram and Facebook Messenger are asked to wait a little more. Facebook has, time and time again, worked towards the benefit of the users and assured the public of their safety. Therefore, the public can expect E2E encryption by 2026.

How to view photo of Private Account on Instagram?

Dinesh Goswami — Mon, 30 Dec 2024 07:19:28 +0000

For sharing photos and videos with a massive audience, Instagram is undeniably a powerful and valuable platform. Both public and private sharing are allowed on Instagram. Now,the question arises: how can someone view a private account on Instagram?

Luckily, there are some useful tools through which we can access a private profile. The following points will help you to view or download pictures from a private Instagram profile. But before we go on those steps, understanding the difference between a public and private profile will be beneficial. Have a look.

Difference between Private and Public Instagram Accounts

A public profile on Instagram is in which anyone can view your entire profile. Whether people follow you or not, everything from posted pictures or videos to tagged ones, or the people you follow or those who follow you, is visible to them. It all depends on your purpose of using Instagram that you should use it as a public account or a private one.

Whereas in the case of a private account, it is the opposite. No one except your followers can see what is there under the hood. For anyone to see your profile, they have to send you a follow request, and if you feel alright with that person’s existence on your account, you may accept it.

How to go Private/Public?

You can quickly and anytime toggle between private and public modes on Instagram. Follow the below-mentioned steps for the same.

Open Instagram.
On your phone’s bottom right corner, tap on your “profile picture”.
Doing this will open your profile in which you have to tap on the “three horizontal lines,” which are on the top right corner of your screen.
The next step is to open “Settings,” which has the “gear icon.”
Once the “Settings” are open, navigate to “Privacy,” and open it.
Now, in “Privacy,” under the “Connections,” you will find “Account Privacy,” and next to it will be its “Status,” whether it is public or private.
By tapping on “Account Privacy,” you can toggle between private and public modes according to your preference.

Viewing Private Profiles

Lastly, the final part of this text is to view a private Instagram account. There can be several situations in which you tend to opt for this. We all are lovers by birth, and it is what we always seek. For instance, you think of knowing/stalking someone on social platforms, and you realize that the person’s profile is hidden. There comes the need for the following mentioned pointers which will help you to dig into their private profiles.

Follow Request

The primary and legitimate way to look under someone’s hood on Instagram is to send a follow request. It doesn’t matter whether they know you or not, there are chances of getting that request accepted, provided they do not suspect any risks from you. If they know you through mutuals or even directly, it won’t take long for them to let you see their profiles.

If you are a stranger to them, you have to be a little patient, because they might not spend much time on social platforms, and it can take time to accept your request. Some people are rigid when it comes to accepting follow requests. They won’t do it until they are convinced. Hence, sending them a direct message might benefit you. It would be best if you tell them a genuine reason behind following them on Instagram.

Username Search

There is a little possibility for you to get past this way. For those people who have switched from public to private modes, there can be chances of having their profile data, somewhere on the internet. All you have to do is find those on Instagram, copy their usernames, and search for it on your preferred search engine.

There should be some information about them in the search results, maybe images, or a different social platform, etc. You have to keep looking for the accuracy of the profiles, and it might take forever to get the desired results. Although this method is not well-effective, it is still a legitimate one.

Profile Viewer Tools

There are a few websites like Private Instaviewer, Instaspy, and WatchInsta that typically make people join multiple surveys for getting past their scrutiny. In the end, they require your credit/debit cards for the completion to let you get the desired results. These tools help get the desired results. However, it would be great if you follow the first method of approaching or connecting with someone, as these tools carry some risks. Usage of these tools is not recommended at all, as these websites do not appear to be safe.

Furthermore, Instagram doesn’t allow any third-party apps to access user data. Only general data such as usernames and followers can be accessed by third-party applications, not photos/videos. Using these websites or tools is up to you, and no legitimate person will ever endorse doing this. It would be best to be extremely cautious while using these tools as your data, such as address or payment information, can be at high risk of getting forged.
