If you ever face issues such as a sudden stop of any add-ons or extension tools, you must first remove those tools from your web browser and then reinstall them on your window. This is because sometimes the extensions or add ons attached to the web browsers contain cached data, and thus it fills them with bugs. So, to remove them, you must delete and reinstall them.
Even after re-installation, if you face the same problem, try reinstalling the browser and IDM one more time. To do so, follow the given steps:

- See on the top bar of the website. Under the bookmark bar, you will find a message written as ” This item has been disabled in Chrome. Enable this item “
- Click on the enable or activate this item
- Restart the Google Chrome
